High speed planers are an effective and efficient tool for offshore trolling. Sea Striker’s High-Speed Planer Kit allows you to easily troll at speeds close to 18mph. This independent planer system attaches the rope to the cleat and runs off its own independent line. As you let the lure out, the double snaps and band will go down to the planer. When a fish strikes, the rubber band will break and release from the planer allowing you to fight the fish freely. You don’t to retrieve this planer every time you hook a fish like you do with conventional downriggers.
