SHIMANO Forcemaster 9000A Electric Reel

Shimano built the new Forcemaster 9000 to be versatile and to meet the needs of anglers deep-dropping for bottom fish or flying kites in South Florida for sailfish and other pelagics. Packed with 55 pounds of drag to provide the power needed under immense loads, the Forcemaster 9000 incorporates Shimano’s Heat Free System II to reduce the reel’s internal temperature when fighting big fish, allowing anglers to focus on what matters most — not exhausting themselves winching on a reel. And with winding speeds of 153 yards per minute, anglers can quickly crank in bottom rigs or reel in kites to change out baits with the speed needed when it matters most during a hot bite. The Forcemaster 9000 also pairs perfectly with both of Shimano’s Talavera Bluewater Deep-Drop rods, ultimately creating a full system to enhance performance when targeting deep-water species.

• Powerful Drag System: The maximum drag force that can be achieved by the powerful drag system with four pairs of CARBON CROSS WASHERS is 25 kg. With specifications comparable to the current BEASTMASTER 9000, it can handle intense fights with big fish in deep water.
• Heat-Free System II: Supports motor power with high heat dissipation. Ventilation openings are provided to allow heat inside the reel to escape to the outside, further enhancing heat dissipation.
• C14+ Handle Knob: Lightweight, highly rigid proprietary material. The new material C14+, an evolution of SHIMANO's proprietary C14 material reinforced with carbon fiber, is used for the handle knob. It is lightweight and high strength, and also improves the appearance grade.
• Cold-Forged Clutch Lever: High-strength clutch lever is the result of our unique cold forging technology, in which metal is pressed under high pressure and finished with high precision without cutting.
