G. Loomis IMX Pro Classic Casting

The IMX-PRO Casting Rod (CR) Series is a set of six foot rods that mimic our original bass rods from the very beginning of G.Loomis. These rods have full cork grips with fast actions for fishing virtually any style of bait, but primarily for topwaters, small jigs and soft plastics and spinnerbaits. They are a little softer in the tip than the 6'6" Jig/Worm series making them easier to cast and a little more forgiving in the fight which helps them protect lighter line. The shorter length makes them ideal for fishing in and around tight spaces, but where they really shine is in open water situations where you need to downsize your offering to be successful. Don't let the 1 or 2-power ratings fool you. Many a giant bass has been taken on these rods. They were favorites for the crawdad crowd in Southern California back in the day and they're still useful today in many situations. They are especially good for finesse topwater presentations and fishing weed edges with lighter spinnerbaits.
